What is it?
Widely used in China for many years to prevent the onset of wrinkles and facial lines, cosmetic acupuncture increases the blood and energy flow to specific facial areas to hydrate, plump up and boost the supply of nutrients and oxygen to them.
Does it last forever?
Generally, the treatment should last for three to five years, at which time you would need to revisit your acupuncturist. The better you take care of yourself, the better the results.
What can it do for me?

How many sessions will I need?
10 sessions, twice every week for five weeks. For maintenance, 1 session a month, but can vary per individual.
Are there any contraindications?
Cosmetic acupuncture is contraindicated in some pituitary disorders, heart disorders, hypertension, pregnancy, onset of an acute herpes attack, individuals who have a pacemaker and individuals who have a problem with bleeding or bruising.
Are there any side effects?
There are no negative side effects. A client may experience bruising for a day or two but these should fade away naturally.
