It’s All About The Gut…
You may be wondering why an allergy website is talking about Fermentation!
Researchers are just beginning to understand the importance of gut health, and as it turns out, if our gut (microbiome) isn’t healthy; neither are we. For example, poor gut health:

- affects our mental health
- increases the risk of food allergies and sensitivities
- promotes growth of pathogenic bacteria
- leads to vitamin and mineral deficiencies
So, needles to say, probiotics and pre-biotics play a big role in maintaining a healthy intestinal environment.
Part of my job is prevention. If you’d like to be in control of your own health, learn how to make your own probiotics!
Many options are available – kombucha, kefir (dairy or non-dairy), kvass, pickling vegetables, sauerkraut, kimchi, sour dough, etc…
Stay tuned for my upcoming fermentation course!
